Guthrie's Paint & Body Shop in Cleveland, South Carolina specializes in custom bodywork, restoration and custom painting for cars and motorcycles. Owned by Ray Guthrie, a 35-year veteran of automobile restoration and repair, Guthrie's Paint & Body Shop has been in its present location on Geer Highway in northern Greenville County for 10 years. Guthrie's is equipped for any type of collision work, restoration and fiberglass repair. The business also builds street rods, and does custom painting for street rods and motorcycles. Viewers see a 1967 Corvette with a custom frame and suspension, and front and back fenders that has been flared to accommodate wider tires. Viewers also meet Clay Guthrie who does all of Guthrie's custom artwork and painting for cars and bikes. Clay shows viewers his personal cars, a 1996 Ford Mustang convertible and a 1966 Chevelle SS 396. A totaled vehicle, Clay repaired the Mustang and outfitted it with a custom Tangerine Candy paint job. Clay did a total restoration on the 1966 Chevelle, turning it into a street rod outfitted with a Blown 350 Chevy motor with a 671 GM Blower, a 670 Holley carburetor, and a regular street scoop on top.
