Innoventure
In its eighth year, the InnoVenture Southeast Community attracts people who understand that the best way to predict the future is to create it. Success is passionate champions with big visions but often limited resources connecting with the customers, capital, talent and technology they need to Create the Future. Champions who have informed intuition about emerging high growth opportunities are in major corporations, middle market companies, or universities, as well as start-up companies. The InnoVenture Southeast Community is grown through the InnoVenture Southeast Forums and Conference. About 1,000 people participated in the 2010 season, with half attending a Forum and half the annual Conference. The resulting community is roughly evenly split among major corporations, universities, middle market companies, and entrepreneurial firms. In this video John Warner, the founder and principal of InnoVenture Southeast, talks about the conference and how it is working to advance open innovation throughout the “Southeastern Innovation Corridor”. He emphasizes that while many attendees come to be educated or inspired, the conference is all about making connections. Each attendee has expertise and resources that others may be seeking. Viewers are also introduced to representatives from emedia Group, Stipkala, LLC, IR Southeast, Southland Log Homes, Milliken & Co, and Clemson University. Innoventure Southeast 2011 is scheduled for May 10-11, 2011. For additional information, please visit their website.
