Greenville, SC also is home to the BMW Charity Pro-Am, the Spinx Annual Charity Golf Classic, and the BI-LO Charity Classic, the largest one-day golf tournament in the United States. In the past eight years, the BMW Charity Pro-Am has welcomed celebrities such as Kevin Costner, Dennis Quaid and Greg Kinnear to Greenville. More importantly, the charity golf event has generated and distributed $6.6 million to more than 125 charities in the Upstate region of South Carolina and western North Carolina.
Since its inception in 1983, the BI-LO Charity Classic has raised $43 million for more than 500 nonprofit organizations in BI-LO's four-state operating area of South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee.
From nationally affiliated nonprofit organizations like the American Red Cross and Habitat For Humanity to homegrown organizations like Dining For Women and Hands On Greenville, Greenville, SC charities can count on the financial generosity and spirit of volunteerism in the Greenville community.
