Triune Mercy Center

Triune Mercy Center is a non-denominational church with outreach to the homeless who live in the woods, under bridges and in abandoned buildings near downtown Greenville, SC. It is the goal of Triune Mercy Center to create a welcoming and vibrant worship community in which all of God's children are included and celebrated. In this video, Rev. Deb Richardson-Moore talks about her move to the ministry after a 27-year career as a newspaper journalist, and explains the mission and outreach of Triune Mercy Center. The Christian gospel is the cornerstone at Triune, with both the housed and the homeless fully participating in 11 am. and 6 pm. services on Sunday. Triune is a place where middle-class and affluent Christians come face to face with hurting brothers and sisters, and where ministry is lived out in daily contact through Jesus' command in Matthew 25 to 'serve the least of these'. Triune Mercy Center offers a network of emergency relief services including four hot meals every week, distributing groceries, laundry services, and distribution of clothes, blankets, coats and toiletries. For people ready to transform their lives, Triune Mercy Center offers access to drug rehabilitation centers throughout the Carolinas and Georgia, and a weekly Narcotics Anonymous meeting. Triune Mercy Center currently houses two recovering addicts in a partnership with Homes of Hope in Greenville, and is in the process of building housing for eight more. The recovery case management team at Triune Mercy Center works to prepare people to regain housing through counseling, group support and classes.
