Drum4Work Drum & Dance Festival

Jeff Holland has been inspiring people to drum, dance and express themselves for almost twenty years. The founder and owner of Drum4Work, Jeff is a multi-ethnic percussionist that shares his knowledge of world cultures and his love of playing anything that you can shake, rattle, scrape or roll with schools, corporations, organizations and private students. Jeff can orchestrate a group of any size through body language to produce a rhythmic ensemble in just a few minutes. In this video, Jeff leads a group of drummers and percussionists during a Sunday gathering at Falls Park on the Reedy in downtown Greenville, SC. Held the last Sunday of each month from 4pm until 6pm at the picnic shelter on the Governors School side of the park, the weekly Drum and Dance Festival brings together people from all nationalities and walks of life for an uplifting afternoon of fun and expression. No drumming experience or talent is required, and drums and percussion instruments are provided if you don't have your own. The Drum and Dance Festival also includes West African Dance instruction by Ashanti Afrikan Dance. A goal of the Sunday Drum and Dance Festival is to create interest for an International Drum and Dance Festival in Greenville that would feature drumming workshops, art exhibits, cultural food, dance instruction and other activities. Drum4Work uses one of the earliest forms of communication and community team building to inspire personal expression, provide stress relief, and develop group unity.
