2010 Artisphere

Artisphere is a celebration of visual, performing, and culinary arts displayed throughout downtown Greenville, SC. Featured artists represent 17 different mediums including sculpture, woodworking, photography, paintings, jewelry, and 2D and 3D mixed media. This year, 682 artists submitted applications to take part in Artisphere, with 120 being selected to showcase their talent at the event. Each year, the submissions increase, making Artisphere one of the most popular events in Greenville, SC and the nation. Last year, Artisphere was ranked 6th out of 600 Fine Arts Festivals around the country for the amount of art sold. The Greenville community has always been involved in local events, and Artisphere is a favorite. Tens of thousands crowd the downtown streets to enjoy three days of artistic festivities. Art is for sale, performers entertain, and some of Greenville’s favorite restaurants feature their specialties in the Culinary Arts Café. As a family friendly event, there are plenty of activities for children to participate in. “Kidsphere” encourages youngsters to create their own masterpiece to take home. Crafts for the kids are designed and instructed by students who attend the SC Governors School.Artisphere is a great way to enjoy downtown Greenville, SC and celebrate artistic diversity.
