Euphoria
Euphoria 2009, the fourth annual food, wine and music festival, was held in downtown Greenville, South Carolina September 17-20. Co-hosted by Greenville restaurateur Carl Sobocinski and musician Edwin McCain, the weekend event includes educational seminars and demonstrations by guest chefs from across the United States, culinary cookoffs, wine tastings, wine dinners, and plenty of music. The annual event was created to present a first-class, multi-day event for food, wine, and music lovers to raise funds for charities while also promoting tourism and enhancing the reputation of Greenville, South Carolina as a premiere culinary and performing arts destination. In this video Euphoria board member Dan Collins talks about the more than $110,000 the downtown Greenville event has raised for charities since its inception, and the growing popularity of the festival. Also in this video, viewers hear from Chris Stone, president of the Greenville Convention and Visitors Bureau, who talks about how Euphoria continues to attract and impress out-of-town visitors to Greenville. Viewers also see Euphoria’s guest chefs in action, and get a glimpse of a performance by nationally known recording artist Edwin McCain, who grew up in Greenville and now resides in the South Carolina city.
