St. Francis Fall For Greenville is the granddaddy of the Greenville, SC street festivals, celebrating its 28th year in 2009. Sponsored by Bon Secours St. Francis Health System and presented by Pepsi, the October 9-11 event along Main Street from the Hyatt Regency to the Reedy River in downtown Greenville featured the cuisine of 46 area restaurants and five entertainment stages offering more than 30 musical acts. In this video, St. Francis Foundation Senior Vice President Rowena Buffet-Timms talks about the health system’s involvement in Fall For Greenville as a way to address the mind, body and spirit of the community. The family-friendly festival is especially evident in the Zaxby’s Kids Area, which features rides, entertainment and activities for children. Also in this video, St. Francis Fall For Greenville Chair Elect Seth Vogel talks about the variety of activities and competitions that take place during St. Francis Fall For Greenville including a waiter’s race, jalapeno pepper eating contest, chili cook-off and bartender’s mix-off. The three-day festival also includes a wine tasting area, beer garden, and ice carving and culinary demonstrations. Average attendance at St. Francis Fall For Greenville is about 200,000. The
