Palmetto Statesmen Barbershop Chorus
With a history that dates back to 1951, the Palmetto Statesmen Barbershop Chorus promises an entertaining and harmonious performance every time. Under the direction of Dr. Don Campbell, director of Choral Activities at Southern Wesleyan University, this male a cappella group includes more than 40 residents of the Upstate region of South Carolina from every walk of life. A member of the Barbershop Harmony Society, the Palmetto Statesmen Barbershop Chorus ranks in the top third of the 800 chapters of the Society. On Valentine's Day each year, members of the Palmetto Statesmen Barbershop Chorus deliver a surprise serenade to sweethearts throughout Greenville, SC and surrounding areas. In this video, a chorus quartet led by Steve Pace of Greenville, SC delivers a singing Valentine to employees of Wealthbrook Advisors in Greenville. The Palmetto Statesmen Chorus meets every Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the social hall of Memorial United Methodist Church, 201 N. Main St., Greer, SC. All men who have a desire to sing are invited to attend.
