Divide the Sea

Divide the Sea is a Greenville, South Carolina based band that plays Christian, Hardcore and Metal music. Band members Ben Patat, Brett Sims, Caleb Snead, Jared Snead and Ryan Turner formed Divide the Sea in October 2006 and quickly negotiated a deal with Fidelity Entertainment Group, a national production company. After only one year together, Divide the Sea had been on three tours around the United States, playing more than 125 shows. The band has been featured on many radio stations, and in several regional and national magazines such as HM Magazine and Relevant Magazine. Their first EP entitled Mustache was a great success. In this video, Divide the Sea performs at The Channel on Orchard Park Drive in Greenville, SC, an alcohol-free coffee house and performing arts venue that is a creative outlet for striving artists. Band members talk about their passion for performing and their reason for forming the band, which is to glorify Jesus Christ. They perform a song from their soon-to-be-released CD entitled Man, so named because to find true masculinity requires a relationship with Jesus Christ, band members explain. Divide the Sea presently is taking pre-release orders for its new CD on its My Space page, with those ordering in advance also receiving a MAN Divide The Sea T-shirt.
