In this video, South Carolina native Edwin McCain talks about growing up in Greenville, SC, moving away, then making the decision to again become a permanent resident of the city. He talks about the changes that have taken place in Greenville since its heyday in the 1970s as the Textile Capital of the World until today as a diversified economic engine of the state. An alternative rock singer, songwriter, and guitarist, Edwin McCain and his band perform across the United States, but he says his most challenging performances still are those held in his hometown. Also in this video, Edwin performs his latest single, ‘Walk With You’ at the recent Euphoria festival, a culinary arts and music event held annually in downtown Greenville, SC. Edwin released his first major label recording, ‘Honor Among Thieves’, with Atlantic Records in 1995. His second album, ‘Misguided Roses’, included ‘I’ll Be’, a major hit single in 1998. Now recording under his own label, Edwin McCain resides full time in Greenville, SC with his family.
