Lil Glenn opened Lil Glenn Company, LLC in downtown Greenville, SC in 1992 in the historic Old Chamber building on Main Street. At that time along Main Street in Greenville, buildings were vacant, windows were boarded, and pigeons or stray cats were the majority population. In this video, Lil talks about her belief in the revitalization of downtown Greenville and a leap of faith that today seemingly has paid off. Lil Glenn Company is located across the Westin Poinsett Hotel, a block from the Peace Center for the Performing Arts, and bustling restaurants like Trattoria Giorgio, Sobys and Devereaux's. Today, shuttered buildings have been replaced with residential condos, mixed use buildings, and ample parking on tree-lined streets. Lil talks about how the city's suspended pedestrian bridge that swings over the Reedy River Falls and green park has brought new life to the West End area of downtown Greenville, and how it has influenced continuing growth and desirability in Greenville as a place to live and work. Lil also takes viewers on a tour of her personal residence on Rowley Street in the East Park Historic District of Greenville.
