Greenville Zoo Tots

Zoo Tots is a program of the Greenville Zoo Animals In Education Department that provides children ages two and three an opportunity to discover the fascinating world of animals. Classes are designed for one parent and a toddler, and are held in the Conservation Station at the Greenville Zoo in Greenville, South Carolina. In this video, viewers participate in a Saturday morning Zoo Tots Reptile Romp class that includes animal time with Noel the Skink, on-your-own explore time in the Reptile Building, and crafts. The program is designed to help children appreciate animals of all types and not to fear them. The Greenville Zoo also offers a Saturday Safaris program for children ages 4-5 and ages 6-9. Saturday Safaris meet in the Conservation Station and are designed to help children discover the fascinating world of animals. Children learn about animals through lessons with crafts, games and activities, trips into the zoo, and animals in the classroom. The Greenville Zoo offers learning programs for children ages 3-14, with behind-the-scenes trips to areas like animals' dens and the zoo kitchen. Once children become 14, they may volunteer at the Greenville Zoo. Rated one of the best tourist attractions in South Carolina, the Greenville Zoo is the most visited family facility in the Upstate region of the state. Located in Cleveland Park, the Greenville Zoo features giraffes, orangutans, giant tortoises, lions, and Joy and Ladybird, the elephants.
