CESA President's Cup

Carolina Elite Soccer Academy (CESA) offers a wide range of services ranging from highly competitive Region III Premier League play to an in-house recreational league that includes not only CESA players but also recreational teams from around the Upstate area of South Carolina. CESA hosted the US Youth Soccer Region III President's Cup competition June 12-14 in Greenville, SC. The site of the weekend tournament was the 16-field Mesa Complex off Anderson Ridge Road on Greenville's east side. Operated by CESA, the Mesa Complex is maintained by the Greenville County Recreation District. The 2009 soccer tournament hosted 118 teams from 12 Southeastern states, bringing nearly 6,000 visitors to Greenville. In this video, viewers go to the President's Cup opening ceremonies at the BI-LO Center in downtown Greenville, then head to the Mesa Complex for the weekend competition. Viewers also hear from CESA Co-Director Pearse Tormey and Chirs Stone, President of the Greenville Convention and Visitors Bureau.
