USA Pro Cycling Championship
More than 100 professional cyclists including three-time U.S. Pro Time Trial Champion David Zabriskie and two-time U.S. Pro Road Race Champion George Hincapie participated in the 2009 Greenville Hospital System USA Cycling Professional Championships held in Greenville, SC on August 29 and 30. The 2009 event marked the third time the Individual Time Trial and 110-mile Road Race Championships were held in Greenville. The event also welcomed more than 30 elite hand cyclists competing in a Time Trial for the finale of the 2009 US Handcycling Series presented by Paralyzed Veterans of America. In this video, event organizer Chris Aronhalt of Medalistsports talks about Greenville, SC as a welcoming community to hold the USA Cycling Championship, and the desirable course it offers combining downtown Greenville with the terrain of nearby Paris Mountain.
