Invenca, LLC is a startup advanced materials company focused on innovations in separation science. The first product line launched by Invenca is a new type of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) column. An HPLC column is consumable equipment that goes in instruments used in laboratories all over the world. These columns helps scientists predict such everyday things as how long a DVD will store a movie or the length of time it will take cookies to bake. In this video, Invenca CEO Mark Housley talks about how this exciting new startup company is working to enable scientists to speed the pace of discovery and product development providing innovative products and materials for the analysis and testing of chemicals and biomaterials. Viewers also go into the Invenca laboratory with Dr. Elizabeth Cates where she explains some of the uses of HPLC columns. Invenca, LLC was named a finalist in the 2008 Innovision Techology Awards and was invited to be a presenting company at InnoVenture Southeast 2009.
