Toni Masters, LMT

Greenville, SC native Toni Masters has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 1995 when she graduated from the North Carolina School of Natural Healing in Asheville, NC. A nationally certified massage therapist, Toni also is certified in Integrative Reflexology. In this video, Toni discusses the benefits of therapeutic massage and what first-time clients can expect during a massage therapy session. Toni also explains Reflexology, the practice of massaging, squeezing, or pushing on parts of the feet with the goal of encouraging a beneficial effect on other parts of the body, or to improve general health. Each foot has more than 7,000 nerve endings that are connected to the entire body. Prior to becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist, Toni had a successful 17-year career with Federal Express Corporation. A hectic job led her to seek the personal benefits of therapeutic massage. Impressed with the results, Toni researched the profession and decided to make a career change. In 1999, Toni was appointed to the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation's Advisory Panel for Massage Therapy and completed a six-year term on the state oversight panel. She also was a member of the Advisory Board for Massage Therapy at Greenville Technical College, where she served on the steering committee that formed the school's massage therapy program and as an instructor during the first year of the program.
