Heirloom Stair & Iron
Heirloom Stair & Iron is a family-owned, second-generation stair manufacturer committed to creating fine, furniture quality staircases that will last a lifetime. In this video, brothers Ben and James Moseley give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at Heirloom's manufacturing facility off Highway 11 in Upstate, South Carolina. Iron Division Manager James Moseley creates a leaf with a hand forge and power hammer to give viewers an idea of the custom work done at Heirloom Stair & Iron. He explains how the hand-forged process increases the efficiency of the product. Wood Division Manager Ben Moseley demonstrates the company's AutoCAD and three-dimensional software programs, and talks about the benefits of one company building both the wood and iron components of a single staircase. Also, CNC Programmer John Gardner demonstrates the CNC wood router at Heirloom Stair & Iron, and explains its use for cutting large wood pieces and decorative custom carvings that personalize staircases. Viewers also see a finished Heirloom Stair & Iron staircase and wine cellar door in the 2008 Southern Living Custom Builder Show House by Dillard-Jones Builders, LLC.
Heirloom Stair & Iron has the creativity and craftsmanship to produce interior and exterior components for new construction and remodels including wine cellar gates, spiral stairs, garden and drive gates, furniture and accessories.
