Boo In The Zoo
Boo In The Zoo, a non-scary but fun Halloween event, is held annually at the Greenville Zoo in Greenville, SC. The four-day special event gives children ages 12 and under the chance to don their Halloween costumes, and to trick-or-treat in a safe, non-scary environment. In this video, viewers hear from the Greenville Zoo’s Jan Griffin and meet many of the little ghosts and goblins that came to Boo At The Zoo during its October 17-20 run. Approximately 3,600 children and adults attend Boo At The Zoo each night of the four-night event. Viewers take a tour of the “Not Very Scary House’ to see some of the themed rooms and storybook characters, and go inside the Zoo’s Reptile House, which is open during the special event. Boo At The Zoo is one of many family activities and educational programs presented by the Greenville Zoo. Rated one of the best tourist attractions in South Carolina, the Greenville Zoo is the most visited family facility in the Upstate region of the state. The Greenville Zoo is located in Cleveland Park where visitors also can enjoy a children’s playground, picnic areas, walking paths and plenty of open green space. The Greenville Zoo is open seven days a week, except on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. Hours of operation are 10 AM until 4:30 PM. Gates close at 5 PM.
