Main Street Jazz
Main Street Jazz is a free weekly music series held every Friday night on the plaza of the Hyatt Regency on Main Street in downtown Greenville, SC. Presented by Pepsi, Main Street Jazz is held from 5:30pm until 9:30pm and features a different band each week playing everything from jazz and blues to oldies, beach and soul. The 2009 concert series continues through September 25. Now in its seventeenth year, Main Street Jazz was created to bring people downtown to experience one of the most beautiful locations that Greenville and the Upstate region of South Carolina have to offer. Originally held in the West End area of downtown Greenville, the event made its way to the north end of Main Street outside the Hyatt Regency. In this video, the Blisterin Hot Beach Boogie And Blues Band takes the Countybank Stage at Main Street Jazz. Viewers also hear from Byron Rucker, Executive Director of Main Street Events, who talks about the family friendly atmosphere of Main Street Jazz and the popular music series that draws about 45,000 visitors each year.
